The department has an obligation to ensure that injured/ill workers receive good quality medical care. Injured/ill workers are allowed to receive treatment from the licensed health care provider of his/her choice.

L&I's Provider Review and Education (PR&E) Unit receives and reviews all potential quality-of-care concerns related to the treatment of injured/ill workers.
