Percutaneous neuromodulation therapy, also known as percutaneous electrical nerve stimulation, is a procedure intended to relieve and manage chronic or intractable low back pain using non-implantable needles positioned in the soft tissues or muscles to stimulate peripheral sensory nerves with electricity.
