Online access to medical records

L&I provides access to most medical claim files only on our online Claim & Account Center (CAC). When an IME is scheduled, the claim manager grants the IME temporary access to the claim file using the claim and provider numbers. L&I revokes the access after we receive the IME report or addendum.

Some claims records available only on microfiche

L&I will continue to supply microfiche on confidential State Fund claims (for example, STD or asbestosis) and on claims or claim documents received before June 1994.

Fax your IME reports and/or addendums for State Fund Claims to L&I

We will add your faxed reports to the claim file within 24 hours of receipt. For tips on how to expedite faxes, see Submitting Reports.

Self-Insurers and Crime Victim's Compensation programs

• They will continue to provide paper copies of the claim file.
• Mail IME reports and/or addendums to them.
