Cervical traction devices

Coverage decision

L&I covers at-home cervical traction units for rental or purchase. No prior authorization is required. Examples of covered devices include the traditional over-the-door unit, as well as newer Glacier Cross' Pronex and Saunders' HomeTrac units.

Home cervical traction is typically prescribed for persistent musculoskeletal pain that is relieved by a trial of traction in the clinical setting.
