According to RCW 51.32.090 (4) (www.leg.wa.gov), the injured worker or his or her legal representative is entitled to a job analysis during intervention phase of vocational services.
In the interest of cooperation and sharing of pertinent information, Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors (VRCs) should provide copies of the job analysis whenever a worker or legal representative requests the document.
A job description can be used prior to a vocational referral. It can be submitted by the employer to describe a job to the attending physician when the worker, employer and doctor all agree to a transitional or light-duty job and a vocational provider has not been assigned to assist with return to work efforts.
