Beth Dupre was appointed Assistant Director for Insurance Services by Director Judy Schurke in November 2010. She is responsible for approximately 1,000 employees involved with Claims, Employer Services, Health Services Analysis, Office of the Medical Director, Actuarial Services, as well as Self-Insurance and the Safety and Health Assessment and Research for Prevention (SHARP) program.

Her goals for Insurance Services include improving the claims management delivery system while also reducing disability, serving employers proactively and creating a culture of performance excellence.

Before her appointment as Assistant Director, Beth served as L&I's Chief Risk Officer. Previously she held executive positions with the state Health Care Authority as Deputy Administrator of Operations and Assistant Administrator overseeing the state's Basic Health program. She also has over 20 years of private sector experience in healthcare and insurance operations, marketing, and client services. Her experience includes leading organizations through business transformation projects and strategic development.

Beth was educated at the University of Texas at El Paso and at the University of Washington. She lives in Seattle with her partner and son.
