Transact Upgrade Information

What is changing?

The way that Vocational providers access L&I’s mainframe information screens.

Most vocational providers currently access L&I’s mainframe screens using a digital certificate that they purchase and renew annually. These digital certificates are no longer being used or supported after June 30, 2013 therefore a different way to access L&I's mainframe has been created.

Why is this happening? What are the benefits to me?

  • The state of Washington is discontinuing support for access to systems using digital certificates after June 30, 2013.
  • The state’s upgraded username and password system is designed to be as secure as the digital certificates and it is not necessary to maintain both systems.
  • Vocational providers will save the cost of the digital certificate and renewal fees.
  • L&I vocational providers will be able to use their same VocLink LINIIS (L&I mainframe) username and password to access the information screens in L&I’s mainframe.
  • Most L&I vocational providers also have a username and password that they use to access information in the Claim & Account Center about an injured worker's claim.

What you need to do

  • Vocational providers will need to go to SAW and register for the L&I VocLink Connect Service. For further instructions on how to register, download and follow the instructions.
  • After you have registered successfully for the service vocational providers will see "VocLink Connect" listed as a menu option when you are logged into SAW.
  • To access the HOD client you will login to SAW, and click on the "Voclink Connect" link in the list of services. This page will then allow you to open the HOD client.

If you encounter any issues during the process, please contact L&I's Web Customer Support at 360-902-5999 (8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific time).
