WISHA provides rule guidance to staff through two types of policies:

WISHA Interim Operations and Interpretive Memoranda (WIIM)
WISHA Regional Directives (WRD)

The WIIMs and WRDs do not:

Substitute for the rule or requirement referenced
Create additional obligations for employers
