The purpose of the Elevator Safety Advisory Committee is to advise the department on the adoption of rules that apply to conveyances; methods of enforcing and administering this chapter; and matters of concern to the conveyance industry and to the individual installers, owners and users of conveyances.
The Elevator Safety Advisory Committee members are appointed to a 4-year term. The Committee meets on the third Tuesday of February, May, August and November of each year.
