The Mobile/Manufactured Home Installer Training Course is a comprehensive course held over one and one-half days including a 2-hour examination. Courses are held a minimum of 4 times throughout the year. See the 2014 training schedule below.
The certification examination is given at the end of the second day of training. It is an open-book examination covering material addressed in the installer training course.
A score of 70% or higher is required for certification. Applicants receiving a passing grade on the examination will become certified Washington State manufactured home installers. An installer certification license will be issued.
Anyone may attend the training class without taking the examination for certification. “Training Only” is offered at a reduced cost and attendees receive a certificate of attendance. This option is particularly useful for individuals who would like specific knowledge about installation but do not need certification.
