Submit Plans

1. Find out when you need to submit plans.

Some common alterations require you to submit plans for review and approval before you buy a permit. Check the fact sheets for your project at Protect My Manufactued Home to determine if you need to submit plans.  The fact sheets cover the most common changes made to manufactured and mobile homes. For other changes that are not covered, please contact plan review staff at FAS1@lni.wa.gov or 360-902-5218.

2. Submit plans.

Here's how to submit plans for review and approval:

Plans must be stamped by a Washington professional engineer (PE) or architect. Mail the plans to:

Plan Review Section
Washington State Dept. of Labor & Industries
PO Box 44430
Olympia WA 98504

3. After plans are approved, buy a permit.

Once reviewed and approved, you will receive a set of plans for later inspection. The process to review and approve the plans normally takes 2 to 3 weeks.
