Maritime crane certifiers must be accredited

Q: Do I have to be certified by the Department of Labor and Industries to inspect cranes on the waterfront?
A: Yes, everyone who inspects maritime cranes, derricks, material-handling devices, cargo spouts, suckers and similar equipment must be accredited as a Crane Certifier by the Department of Labor and Industries.

How to obtain accreditation as a Crane Certifier

You must submit an application for accreditation as a crane certifier with the state of Washington.
