L&I launches new Third Party Recovery web site
TUMWATER - L&I recently unveiled its new Third Party web site to give workers, employers, insurance adjusters and attorneys help in resolving third party issues.
What that means is this: If a third party causes a worker's injury, the department may recover the costs of the worker's industrial insurance benefits from the responsible party. This helps control the costs of industrial insurance for employers and workers.
The new site has links to forms and includes a unique third party recovery distribution calculator.
