Agriculture Safety Day set for March 1 in Yakima

YAKIMA — The second annual Agriculture Safety Day will be held Wednesday, March 1, at the Yakima Convention Center. The program is designed for employers, supervisors, farmworkers and safety professionals.

Agriculture Safety Day, sponsored by the Governor’s Industrial Safety and Health Advisory Board, will include panel discussions and workshops on tractor and machine safety, heat­related illness, preventing common injuries in orchards, skin-cancer prevention and other safety topics.

Conference fee is $50 at the door and includes coffee and a buffet lunch. Registration begins at 7 a.m., and the program begins at 8 a.m.
