L&I offices statewide to be closed July 12
TUMWATER – All 21 statewide offices of the Department of Labor & Industries (L&I), including the central office in Tumwater, will be closed Monday, July 12. Offices will reopen on regular hours Tuesday, July 13.
The closures are the result of temporary layoffs ordered by the Legislature to help balance the state budget.
A limited number of L&I employees will work on July 12. For questions that day about workers’ compensation claims, call your claim manager or 360-902-6767. To report work-related fatalities and hospitalizations within eight hours, as required, or to report dangerous conditions in the workplace requiring immediate attention, call 1-800-423-7233.
L&I offices also will be closed Friday, Aug. 6, for a second temporary layoff.
