At L&I, we want everyone to understand their rights and responsibilities, no matter what language they speak or their immigration status. You can access our services for free in your preferred language.
It's all part of our goal to make connecting with us easier for you.
Important: We will not share your information with immigration services, local government or police.
If you've requested any of these services but haven't received them, you can file a civil rights discrimination complaint.
Language services we provide
L&I provides the following services only for our own content and events.
What's available:
- Over 200 staff members ready to help you directly in your preferred language.
- Some of our staff speak languages such as Spanish, Mandarin, Russian, Arabic, and more.
How to get it:
- Ask for help at your local L&I office or when you call in.
- If there is no one available to help you directly in your preferred language, we’ll get an interpreter for you.
What's available:
- We provide free translation services of letters, publications, forms, and other L&I documents.
- You can find what we already have available in different languages on Lni.wa.gov/FormPub searching by the document name or form number.
- Our website is available in Spanish. Click on español at the top of the page.
How to get it:
- Ask us what you’d like translated in your preferred language.
- Contact our Office of Information and Assistance at 1-800-547-8367 during business hours for any questions on what we can translate.
What's available:
- We offer verbal and sign language interpretation for appointments, meetings, conferences and more.
- If you were injured on the job and need an interpreter for your medical or vocational appointments, see our Interpreter Services webpage.
How to get it:
- Let us know when and where you'd like to meet, and we'll arrange an interpreter for you.
What's available:
- We provide free telephonic interpretation services in over 200 languages.
How to get it:
- When you call us, tell us your preferred language, and we'll connect you with an interpreter.
