Labor & Industries (L&I) is proposing changes to the electrical rule to adopt new safety codes, update and clarify existing rules, make housekeeping, and other changes (see WSR 23-24-084). L&I plans to file a CR-103, thus adopting the final rules on February 20, 2024. The anticipated effective date is April 1, 2024.

L&I is proposing increasing the electrical fees by 6.4% to support operating expenses for inspections and other Electrical Program services (see Electrical Fees Increase). This is the Office of Financial Management’s maximum allowable fiscal growth factor rate for fiscal year 2025. L&I plans to file a CR-103, thus adopting the updates on March 19, 2024. The anticipated effective date is July 1, 2024.
