Working together for the worker

Doctors of Chiropractic (DCs) are attending providers in Washington’s workers’ compensation system and care for about 1/3 of all work-related low back injuries as well as many other musculoskeletal conditions.

L&I’s Industrial Insurance Chiropractic Advisory Committee (IICAC) works closely with L&I staff and other advisory committees (IIMAC & ACHIEV), and has developed a number of evidence based conservative care best practice resources, useful for any attending provider or specialist.

The IICAC also oversees a chiropractic consultation program, which provides DCs with continuing education. This includes occupational health best practices, conservative diagnostic and therapeutic options, injury rehabilitation, and return-to-work options.
