About the Conveyance Management Portal
On March 26, L&I’s Elevator Program launches a new Conveyance Management Portal (CMP, or Portal). It provides improved permitting, inspection, and other services. This page provides you with on-demand video training and user guides, project updates, and a way to sign up for a Portal newsletter to find out more.
Service update
- The Portal went live, March 26.
- To get started, here is a user guide for the Conveyance Management Portal (New) User Registration. See the On-Demand Training tab for more user guides and training videos.
- As with any new technology release, please be patient. There may be a large number of new users accessing the Portal.
- Join the Elevator Program email list and keep up on industry issues.

Conveyance Management Portal (New) User Registration (user guide)
Apply for a permit to install a new conveyance (video, about 10 minutes)
Apply for an Annual Operating Certificate (user guide)

Renew or reinstate new installation or alteration permits (user guide)

We've scheduled the training sessions for varying times, dates, and audiences. Select "Sign up" to register for an event - you'll be sent an email with a link to attend. An easy way to keep up with changes to the Conveyance Management Portal is to join the Elevator Program email list.
The newsletter provides updates on the Portal. This can include changes when a new version is installed; notices of additional scheduled demonstrations or training sessions; and updates of user guides and other training materials.
Please help us spread the word about the Portal – tell your fellow elevator industry friends or building owners and property managers about this work.
Elevator Safety Advisory Committee (ESAC) meetings are a great resource to hear and learn what's going on with the Conveyance Management Portal. ESAC members also discuss other matters related to conveyance management and the L&I Elevator Program.
