About the Conveyance Management Portal

On March 26, L&I’s Elevator Program launches a new Conveyance Management Portal (CMP, or Portal). It provides improved permitting, inspection, and other services. This page provides you with on-demand video training and user guides, project updates, and a way to sign up for a Portal newsletter to find out more.

The following are user guides and videos providing a quick way to learn how to use the Portal. For questions, please contact CMPTraining@Lni.wa.gov.

Conveyance Management Portal (New) User Registration (user guide)

Apply for a permit to install a new conveyance (video, about 10 minutes)

Apply for and purchase a permit for a new conveyance installation (user guide)

Apply for an Annual Operating Certificate (user guide)

Renew an Annual Operating Certificate (video, about 5 minutes)

Renew or reinstate new installation or alteration permits (user guide)

An easy way to keep up with changes to the Conveyance Management Portal is to join the Elevator Program email list

The newsletter provides updates on the Portal. This can include changes when a new version is installed; notices of additional scheduled demonstrations or training sessions; and updates of user guides and other training materials.

Please help us spread the word about the Portal – tell your fellow elevator industry friends or building owners and property managers about this work.

ESAC meetings

Elevator Safety Advisory Committee (ESAC) meetings are a great resource to hear and learn what's going on with the Conveyance Management Portal. ESAC members also discuss other matters related to conveyance management and the L&I Elevator Program.
